Brigaders,
It is after a great deal of consideration and with much regret that we formally announce the cancellation of the 2020 Indiana Harmony Brigade. Given the continuing uncertainty regarding the future of the Covid-19, there appears to be no way we can feel safe about holding the IHB. The following are a few details for those who have registered:
We will be automatically issuing a refund for any money you have already paid for the 2020 IHB. If you want a refund, you do not need to do anything. We will be sending refunds beginning June 1.
If you wish to donate all or part of your deposit to the general IHB fund, please let us know. If we have not heard from you by June 1, we will automatically begin sending refunds.
We are not offering to move this year's deposit to next year's brigade as stated in a previous email. We feel it is easier for bookkeeping purposes to refund the 2020 deposits, then start next year's brigade like we always do with the sign up in late February.
A final decision has not been made regarding the 2020 music, whether we keep it for 2021 or move to the 2021 music selections. We have already payed for the 2020 core songs; however, we would hate to see those dollars just "go down the drain," so to speak. Tough decision but we will let you know once we decide.
While it is unfortunate, we will not be meeting this year, we do look forward to many, many more IHB rallies in the future. Until then, stay safe!
