History of the IHB
Modeled after the North Carolina Harmony Brigade, the IHB is a by invitation only quartet outlet for a select group of male barbershopp singers. Participation is contengent on continued demonstration of excellence in the barbershop craft and the musical objectives of the Brigade. The members of IHB will receive 10 songs to learn over a four month time span. They will all join together the second weekend of November to sing in pick-up quartets for competition and in a chorus show.
The Indiana Harmony Brigade was first held in November of 2003.
The Indiana Harmony Brigade was incorporated as a subsidiary of the Barbershop Harmony Society in 2004.
